Harrah's Hotel

It first opened in 1973 as the Holiday Casino and the front of the building was a steamboat motif. This caused some to confuse this casino with the off strip Showboat. It was renamed to Harrah's in 1992 and in 1997, Harrah's purchased the property. During that year's renovation they removed the old theme and replaced it with a carnival party theme. They extended the 35 story tower by adding 986 extra rooms.

"Stayed at Harrah's last week for six days and had a great time. Hotel room was clean and roomy, but could have used a coffee maker. Not great view because smoking room. My sister was provided room complimentary for our entire stay -- not bad...plus we also received some free meals. Casino is roomy, but slots were not paying out. Had better luck next door at Imperial Palace. Pool area was not as large as expected, but found an upper area to sunbathe that had misters and a fountain to cool off in. Next time plan to stay in non-smoking room with view of pool (plus balcony). Check-in was great -- no wait at all. Check-out done over t.v., which saved time. Plan to stay again there soon. Check out Carnival Court - outdoor bar - free shots and great music."

"Stayed here for 2 nights. I thought the lobby was great, not a long line to check in. For someone who doesn't get out much for traveling, I thought the rooms were beautiful. My boyfriend & I walked to the other hotel casinos, and out of all of them, Harrah's had a lot more people by far. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Harrah's!"
