This means you should be able to find a car most of the time without booking ahead. If you want to get to your hotel and rest before you bother with renting a car there are a number of companies you can use located quite near the main Strip. When you check in to your hotel the staff should be able to tell you where the nearest car rental company is. If you plan to spend your whole trip in Las Vegas itself you do not really need to hire a car. The monorail is ideal for travelling up and down The Strip, you can buy a pass that you can use all day. If you want to head Downtown you can take the bus or a Taxi, both of which are quite reasonable.
